It may be March but it's still officially winter and many of us are suffering with winter chills and colds. A great way to keep warm, ward off colds and get a peaceful night's sleep is to indulge in a hot toddy. This is our unique take on a classic hot toddy recipe using a mix of our organic essential oils: ginger essential oil helps rid feelings of nausea and is good for sore throats; and nutmeg essential oil is a general tonic, giving a sense of wellbeing. Plus, they taste great especially when mixed with whisky!
A dram of whisky (1-2 tablespoons)
1 teaspoon honey
4 tablespoons of boiling water
1-2 drops ginger essential oil (optional)
1-2 drops nutmeg essential oil (optional)
1 slice of fresh orange or lemon
To make:
Put the honey into a mug and disolve in the boiled water. Add whisky, orange flower water, ginger and nutmeg essential oils. Leave to stand for about 5 minutes. Add the fresh orange/lemon slice and enjoy before bedtime.
