A new study by researchers at Buffalo University in New York has found that those who sleep for only 6 hours or less could become four times more likely to develop type 2 diabetes than those who sleep for the recommended seven hours.*
A third of UK adults admit they only sleep for 6 hours or less and whilst lack of sleep is far less likely to trigger diabetes than lifestyle, weight and family history, nevertheless it could be a contributing factor.
Whilst we don’t claim any magic cures, the following may help you sleep a little bit deeper and longer:
Our organic pillow perfumes are excellent for spraying on to your pillows just before lights out to help ease you into a peaceful night’s sleep – our lavender, orange blossom and relaxing pillow perfumes are the best choice to help induce sleep.
A cup of organic lavender tea after your evening meal will help you feel relaxed and give a sense of wellbeing.
Finally, we’d also recommend having a glass of water with two dessert spoons of our organic orange flower water on your bedside table to drink just before sleep. For many years in France this has been given to children as a bedtime drink to help relax them – there’s no reason why adults shouldn’t enjoy it too!
