Acne on the chin usually indicates hormonal changes in the body. Generally teenagers are suseptible to the condition but it can last into your 30s and beyond. Women coming off the pill can also be affected by spotty chins. A healthy diet is key to alleviating the symptoms but facial steams are also a great way to help control breakouts. Used every other day, they can help to reduce flare ups. Put two drops of organic lavender oil , one drop of palmarosa organic essential oil and one drop of organic tea tree essential oil in a basin of warm water. Place a towel over the head and spend three minutes under the towel to steam the skin, then come out, let the skin cool off then go back for a further three minutes.
To help keep spots under control when you're on the move try our organic clear skin aromatherapy rollerball which has a sweet almond oil vegetable base mixed with lavender, tea tree and lemon essential oils. It should be applied regularly as soon as you feel spots coming up under the skin.
Drinking a cleansing and detoxifying herbal tea can also help by easing the burden on the digestive tract and the liver – try lemon balm tea once a day.
